Sometimes I wish they'd portray Clark with fewer stalker qualities. I mean, I get that even the suspicion that someone might be a Kryptomutant is worrisome, but at the point when Clark followed Seth and Lana to the fair, I was as creeped out by Clark's behavior as by Seth's. And from the outside Seth's sure looked more harmless (and btw, as far as Kryptomutants go Seth seemed less psychotic and dangerous than most). One reason why I dislike Stalker!Clark so much is that he's going to be Superman, and a superhero with the powers to monitor people in the ways Superman can is disturbing enough without him having no respect for the privacy of others. Thinking about it, I guess he does cross some privacy lines anyway, after all he has to listen to a lot to be alerted to things by his superhearing, but the preventative monitoring thing can only go so far before it's more menace than help. The only reason Superman isn't really creepy with his ability to hear everything and see through walls etc. is because we expect him not to cross the line. And the way Clark is depicted on Smallville he seems to choose "safety" (i.e. monitoring people to protect them) over their rights to their own lives far too often. And I was disappointed when Lana basically took back all what she said to Clark, except the old "I wish you were honest with me." thing. I mean, I thought Lana really had a point there about Clark stalking her.
OTOH I enjoyed the parts with Chloe and Lex, and I liked that they'll now cooperate against Lionel.
