11/18/2003: this week's Everwood
Spoilers for 2x09 Just Like in the Movies...
Bwah! Bright and Ephram are so cute together! Like when Ephram says to Bright: "No forget it. I'm not in the mood to watch softcore porn with you." Or when Bright sat down between Ephram and Madison to nip their conversation in the bud. And the whole karaoke thing was hilarious. Okay, getting my embarrassing fangirl squeeing under control now. *cough*
Ahem.
But seriously this season turned me around on the whole Ephram/Bright slash issue. During first season I didn't get why anyone would slash the two, but now that we see them doing things together and talking to each other, I can see the slashy possibilities. Also, while I'm not what you'd call an Ephram/Madison shipper by any stretch of the imagination, I don't mind their relationship developing. So far it actually gets less on my nerves than Ephram/Amy at their worst moments of not-quite-relationship angst (don't get me wrong, teen angst has its appeal, but I think my appreciation for wallows just has limits). And they do have some nice scenes.
I kept waiting for something horrible to happen on Amy's date. Mostly I guess because of the actor playing Tommy. Not only did he play Lucas on Smallville, that guest character on The O.C. he played (Donnie?) wasn't the model of sanity either. And somehow the actor wasn't playing the characters so differently that I could entirely avoid the overlap in my head.
